Maylands Chiropractic Clinic Website Launch

Huge congratulations to Dr Sandy Bryant on the launch of the new Maylands Chiropractic Clinic website. Simple and informative, the site provides details on the chiropractic techniques used and a little bit of background on the chiropractor himself. A great step forward, good luck with taking the message of wellbeing to the people of Australia!

Perth Fringe is as wonderful as ever

Absolutely loving Perth Fringe again this year.  We've been to see It's Me Dayne, Look Out It's a Trap, Morgan and West, Le Gateaux Chocolat, Mother F**ker With the Hat, all sensational!  Really recommend that anyone that hasn't already heads down to the Urban Orchard and soaks up a little fringe atmosphere.  Really good for the soul!  Full details on the Fringe Festival website.

A bit of a revamp for Perth interior designers Altered Interiors

I've revamped Altered Interiors to try and make a little more sales focused.  I think previously too focused on getting something different, an aesthetically pleasing site, but maybe not enough on converting traffic.  Interior design in Perth seems like a tough nut to crack, but we'll get there.  Fingers crossed the refreshed look helps.

Forch Australia's new website launches!

It's a new financial year and a time for new beginnings.  Today we launched Forch Australia's new website.  A fantastic company providing automotive products, tools and consumables, their website is a first port of call for their customers looking to check their catalogues and latest specials.

Bringing art and digital together

A good friend of mine, and wonderful artist, Jacky Pique has recently set her business up on facebook promoting her handmade books and cards.  Poppet Books is a wonderful example of bringing hand drawn artwork online and using digital media to support artists and artwork.  I wish Jacky every luck in her new venture!

Website Refresh

It's been a little while since my last update, but I haven't been entirely idle. Check out my refreshed web design site!

I'm going for something simple but bold, hopefully this meets the brief.  The background images are from my recent travels to Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. I like the injection of colour and sense of fun they add.

My first live web design - Altered Interiors

Brighter Pixels' first web design is officially live!  Check out Perth interior designer Tim Leaver's new website Altered Interiors.  Please note there are some issues with the scaling of the image on earlier versions of explorer (shock).  For use of the tabber code, check out the interior designer Perth page.

Altered Interiors was established by Perth based interior designer Tim Leaver to provide affordable interior design services with a focus on apartment and inner city living in Perth, WA.

The website design is pretty straightforward.  The main focus of the home page was the scalable background image that changes along with the description text to show the scope of services offered by Altered Interiors in a very visual manner, befitting an interior designer.
My thanks go out to Samantha Campbell for her invaluable assistance and patience with my first build.  I would also like to thank www.marcofolio.net for the background image changer java code.

Brighter Pixels - Starting with the best intentions

Hi there, and thanks for joining me.

I'm just in the process of setting up my web design business (Brighter Pixels) as a bit of a side line.  Currently this is more focused on family and friends, and as much about my own personal development in designing and building websites as anything else, but we've all got to start somewhere.

I'm not sure exactly what my blog will evolve into, but at the moment I am seeing it as an opportunity to talk about some of the exciting stuff (and some of the frustrating stuff) that I am up to, and to shout out to those in web-land that have helped, through code, support or other.

So, here we are at the beginning.  Thank you if you have read this far and more interesting posts are to follow.  Hopefully.
